Isn't this contradictory? Not at all! Even today, humans still can't prove that "aliens" (the more correct name is "extraordinary intelligent creatures"). However, even in the near future, humans can finally meet with aliens and prove the existence of other aliens, but it is not the same as the "Martians" that were imagined in the earliest science fiction! Human's  unmanned detectors have successfully landed on Mars many times, all the information and real-life data that had been transferred back proves that Mars is a dead planet:  there is no sign of life activity, not to mention high intelligence nor high civilization is found, nor "Martians" exist! Therefore, whether there are "aliens" and whether there are "Martians" is two different things! Same principals apply as : there is "ghost" but there is no "baby ghost" are two different things! At the moment, we are very sure that there is no Martian! It is also very certain that there is no "baby ghost". P.S. Baby ghost is defined as the ghost related with abortion.
